Walter Laynes, Jr. 64,

Walter, "June" departed this life on Tuesday, October 12, 2023 at his home.  He was a native of Woodville, Ms. And a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, La.  He was a retired custodian supervisor of the East Baton Rouge School System and Aramark for over 30 years.  Memorial services will be held at Greater True Love Missionary Baptist Church, 2143 Curtis St. October, 24th at 11:00 a.m. Survivors include a daughter, Shemiko Laynes; future son-in-law, Arthur Guy, ex-wife Mary Fields Laynes; mother-in-law Joedna Fields; three sisters, Asrea V. Laynes, Gloria D. Laynes and Laura A. Laynes; and one brother, Willie H. Laynes all of Baton Rouge, La.  Three grandchildren; Ja'Marius, Ja'Kobe and Jaliyah Snowden, all of Baton Rouge, La.
