Tyrone Gay was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 5, 1957. He earned his heavenly wings on April 16, 2022. Tyrone is survived by his wife, Doris Gay; sisters, Tylontina Johnson and Robin Jordan (Theo); brothers, Roy Gay, Jr. (Sandra) and Peter Hargrove (Courtney), all of Baton Rouge; three Godchildren, LaRoy Gay, Renita Smith, and Karissa Robinson; aunts, Elzine H. Burrell and Earlean H. Lathers, both of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Gay, Sr. and Kitty Hargrove; a sister, Amy Gay; maternal grandparents, Primas and Amy Duncan Hargrove; aunts, Caroline Hargrove and Florence Davis; and uncles, Andrew and Peter Hargrove. Visitation will be April 30, 9-10 a.m., at Greater Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 5820 Evangeline St. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.
