Sidney Brown, IV was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on September 20, 1973 to the late Sidney
Brown III and Johnnie M. Brown. He earned his heavenly wings on April 9, 2021.
"Lil' Sidney," as he was known by all his family and friends, attended Divine Guidance
Christian School where he earned his high school diploma. He was affectionately known by his
instructors and classmates for his philosophical outlook and challenging spirit. Sidney went on
to attend Oral Roberts University, where he had the opportunity to expand his relationship with
Christ. In addition, he earned the trust and friendship of several other colleagues during his time
of study there. He lived in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked in the Sky Lounge for Delta
Airlines. Sidney and his wife, Amber (Barrino), moved to Gilbert, Arizona and settled there. To
their union, one son was born, Amir Jasan Brown. Sidney took great pride in caring for his son,
Amir.
Sidney was known by many for his comical and genuine personality. He was never a stranger to
anyone in need and would go over and beyond to make sure that those he loved were taken care
of. He was always an energetic character, even as a young boy. He was a sports enthusiast and
loved all types of sports. He was looking forward to seeing his son play sports through high
school as well. He often spoke of the conversations he shared with Amir regarding him playing
sports with great passion and joy.
Sidney took up his late father's passion for helping others by continuing the responsibilities of
the family business, BRIGASI, LLC. He began to help several neighbors and family friends
with small home improvements and lawn care.
Sidney gave his life to Christ as a pre-teen at Bethany World Prayer Center under the leadership
of Pastor Ken Ellis. It was through Sidney that his family began to worship at Bethany. He
spent several years growing in his relationship with Christ. After returning to Baton Rouge,
Sidney sought spiritual guidance under Pastor Levie Ash Wright, of Greater Mt. Canaan Baptist
Church.
Sidney Brown, IV is survived by his wife Amber Barrino Brown, his son, Amir J. Brown, his
loving mother, Johnnie M. Brown, sisters, Sidyetta B. Thomas (Troy), Gabrielle B. Morgan
(Warren), and Celia Bridgeforth (William), all of Baton Rouge, maternal grandmother, Irene W.
Scott, four aunts, Bertha Garvin (Richard) of Roosevelt, NY, Paula B. McCastle (John) of Cary,
North Carolina, and Doris Gaye (Tyrone) of Baton Rouge, La. and Catherine Sanders of Los
Angeles, Ca., one uncle, Timothy Scott of Baton Rouge, La. and a host of nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Brown III, a brother, Brandon E. Brown, paternal
grandparents, Sidney Brown, Jr. and Lois M. Green, and maternal grandfather, John Scott Sr.

Visitation will be held at New Light Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00am until 11:00am with funeral services immediately following afterwards.
