Sharon Ann "Shakey" West was born April 29, 1962, to Lawrence J. Pittman and Madge W. Pittman at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She attended school in New Orleans and proudly received her General Education Development Certification at McDonogh 16.

Sharon worked for many years at Red, White and Blue Thrift store where she was a devoted employee and beloved coworker. She was loved by all who were blessed to work closely with her.

Sharon will be remembered for the love she showed to everyone. She loved people and always met everyone with her beautiful smile, tight hugs, and kisses. She was a loyal daughter, mother, sister, aunt, godmother, and cousin. She truly loved her family, and they were always sure of it.

Those left to honor and cherish her beautiful memories are her devoted mother, Madge W. Pittman and bonus father, Leslie Wallace; her two sons, Lawrence J. West (Ziakuria), De'Vonn J. West (Ashley); three grandchildren Lazarian J. West, Za'Kyrie J. West and Zyrie West; her sister, and best friend, Danielle West; two nieces Briana C. West, and Arnisha Conerly; a nephew, Arnold Conerly, III; a great niece, Kalieah Banks; four aunts, Jackie Harvey, Eunice Pittman, Denise Parker, and Betty West; an uncle; Gary Pittman; along with numerous cousins, godchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Awaiting her arrival at heaven's gates were her father, Lawrence J. Pittman; her paternal grandparents, Billy Pittman, and Grace Pittman; and her maternal grandparents, Leroy West, Sr., and Martha Johnson West.
