Sister Rosie Mary Wells Brown was born May 8, 1938 to the late Freddie Wells and Arcola Carter in Baker, Louisiana.

Sister Brown confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at the Shady Grove Baptist Church Zachary, Louisiana at an early age.

Educated in the schools of East Baton Rouge Parish, Sister Brown graduated from Scotlandville Senior High School.

Sister Brown united with the Elm Grove Baptist Church in 1969 under the Pastorate of the late Reverend J. R. Williams where she worked with The Friends In Need Committee and member of the Pastors Aid.She continued in this vineyard under the Leadership of Reverend Errol K. Domingue.

Sister Brown was united in Holy matrimony to Brother James Brown, Senior December 17, 1956 and they enjoyed 64 years with family and friends until she went home with her Lord and Savior.

For 35 years, she was employed by East Baton Rouge Parish School System as a Bus Driver, transporting precious cargo to places of education.

Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 8:07 a.m., Sister Rosie Mary Wells Brown moved from labor to reward from The Baton Rouge General Hospital Bluebonnet Campus.

Sister Brown leaves to cherish her loving memories: her, husband James Brown; her son James Brown, Junior, her daughter, Cynthia B. Wilson; two brothers Ray and his wife, Betty Wells and Bernell and his wife Frances Wells, one sister, Gale Wells Brown; one grandson, Dexter Wilson; one great grandson, Damarion Wilson and one great granddaughter, Sincere Wilson; her niece, Sandra Carter; one God Child , Dakari Williams; best friends – Barbara Brown Berry and Ernestine Williams, numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dotsie Carter and one brother, Freddy Wells.
