Ronquinci Demond James was born on August 8, 1983 to the parents of Ellen M. James and the late Donald R. Nixon. He gained his wings on August 23, 2025.

He was baptized later in life at the age of 29 at Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, where he embraced his newfound relationship with God.  From a young age, Ron was always skilled and talented with his hands where he used those talents to later become a great mechanic and a real Mr. Fix-It for his family and friends. He was also, well-known in the community as "jumping Jack".

Ron had a genuine love for his friends, family and especially his four children.  He leaves to cherish his loving memory four daughters, Ty'Quincia R. Wallace, Rondaysa T. James, Rimiyah M. James, and Re'Annah R. James; bonus children, Eric R. and E'Miri C. Thomas; three grandchildren Ja'Marrius M, Ty'Jae K, Ja'Zyree M. Anderson; his mother, Ellen M. James; five sisters, Yolanda Yancy (Checo), Denika Battley (Mitch), Letisha Hunter, Donna Thornton, Kendra Thorton, and Alfricia Nixon; two brothers, Jessie Nixon and Jazzy Thorton; one uncle Curley James; nine aunts, Annie Charleston, Deloris Rogers, Gloria Stewart, Jacqueline Castle, Patricia Nixon, Roslen James, Paulette James, Toni James, and Kimberly James; ex-wife and friend Shelitha Danielle Brown and devoted friend Jessica Wallace; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald R. Nixon; sister Sharon James; grandmothers Ella T. James and Ethel Mae King; grandfathers Johnnie James, Sr and L. Leon Nixon; uncles Johnnie James, Jr, Rogers James, Charles Calvin, Rev. Norwood T. Calvin, Henry Wheeler,  and Dale James; aunts Mable Lathan, Yvonne Burnette, and Glenda Walker; niece and best friend Yalesha T. James; nephew Deonte Nixon.
