Regina Renee Jackson was born on August 19, 1975 in Zachary, Louisiana to the late Janice
Marie Jackson. She was affectionately known as "GG" and "Gemma" to her family and close
friends. She was educated in the East Baton Rouge Parish School system and attended Northeast
High School. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Zachary, LA
under the leadership of the late Reverand Lorenzo Neff. Along her journey, she continued to serve
the Lord at The King's Children Church under the stewardship of Elder Robert Joseph, Sr.
Regina was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and was proud to
serve a plate of her savory red beans and rice. She had a heart of gold and shared with everyone.
She was fun, loving, had a captivating personality and was always "the life of the party".
Regina transitioned from this world to eternal life on October 5, 2022. She leaves to cherish her
precious memories: four children, Kaosha Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Sr. (Talaya), Kelvon Jackson,
Kelvon'Shae Jackson all of Baton Rouge, LA; Fred Jackson a nephew who she raised and loved
as her own child; two grandchildren, Kaison Gaines and Kevin Jackson, Jr; a sister Laticha
Crawford (Derek) of Baton Rouge, LA; the father of her children, Kelvin Johnson, Jr., three uncles
Larry Caines, Randy Albert, Felton Hamilton, Sr., 2 devoted friends Renita "NaNa" Goldmond
and Josephine "Johnny" Denny and a host of other relatives and friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Marie Jackson; her sister Lashonda Jackson,
her maternal grandmother, Mattie Caines, two uncles David Caines and Leonard Caines, 2 aunts
Lizzie Hamilton and Louella Jackson, four great aunts; a great uncle; a faithful friend, LaQuana
Green and a host of other relatives and friends.
