Talyn Maliyah was born on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, to Helen De'Shay Jones and Tolley Ray Milton. Talyn passed away in her sleep from a rare form of Brain Cancer, DIPG, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the home of her great aunt, Dana Leron Jones. Talyn loved cheering, dancing, swimming, women's wrestling, arts and crafts, card and board games, and football. Talyn loved the character, "Stitch." Talyn adored her family and friends. She attended Episcopal School of Baton Rouge from Pre-K3 through 5th Grade, and was a member of Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Jones, II (fiancée Tayla Jones); great aunt and Godmother, Dana Leron; Godmother, Hilda Taylor (all of BR, LA); and great-great uncle, Patrick (Gloria) Jones (Dallas, TX).

Talyn Maliyah is now in Heaven with her great grandparents, Mary Louise Jones, Tolley Gaten and Everlean Milton; great uncle, Corbett Jones; great-great aunts, Helen and Deborah Kay Jones; great-great uncles, Warren and Henderson Jones, Jr.; cousin, Thalani Jones; and Godfather, "Uncle Marvin" K. Rogers. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Jordan Stone B. C., 8523 Thelma St. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and from 8:00-9:45 a.m. at Greater Olive MBC, 3155 Victoria Dr on Friday, July 3, 2026.
