Obituary

O'Delia Rowe Bell was born June 3, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Roosevelt Rowe Sr.  and Emma Goins Rowe of Weyanoke, Louisiana. She was baptized in October 1961 at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Isaiah Mitchell. She was joined in holy matrimony to late Larry Bell Sr in April of 1970. To this union four children were born. She was a retiree from the East Baton Rouge School System where she devoted 20 years of hard work and commitment before retirement.

O'Delia Rowe Bell was a compassionate and caring person to those who knew and adored her. She was a member at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church for over 50 years where she became a deaconess under the leadership of Rev. Albert Anderson III. She frequently visited New Covenant Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop. Michael L. Smith while deciding to continue her service to God at New Home Baptist Church in 2019 under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Blakes.

O'Delia Rowe Bell departed this life on Friday, January 21, 2022, at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. She leaves to cherish and value her memories; three daughters: Angela White West (Titus), Andrea Bell, Corinthia Douglas (Lee), one son: Larry Bell Jr; one granddaughter: Cordelia Bell; two brothers: Roosevelt Rowe (Linda), Fred Rowe, a sister-in-law Yvonne M. Rowe; a devoted niece Mary Alice Henderson, all of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and family members.

O'Delia Rowe Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bell Sr; her parents: Roosevelt Rowe and Emma Goins Rowe; five siblings: Albert Collins Rowe, Mary Francis "Bay" Rowe Stewart, Emma Lee Rowe, Wallace "Wiley" Rowe, Sarah Rowe Augustus, and a brother-in-law Dr. Henry J. Augustus
