Marvin Jerome "Bubbie" Canty was born June 23, 1963 to the union of Earnest Canty, Sr. and Estella Parker Canty in New Orleans, LA.  He departed this life on Thursday, April 22, 2021, he was 57.

Marvin accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at an early age.  He graduated from Capitol Senior High School Class of 1981 and retired from Southern University and A&M College as an accomplished painter-contractor. Marvin was loved by many and remembered best for his magnetic smile.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memory a son, Brandon Cobbs, a brother, Earnest Canty Jr., two sisters, Linda Canty Davis and Sharon Canty Budgewater, a friend and dedicated mother to his son, Terri Cobbs, all of Baton Rouge and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Marvin was proceeded in death his parents Earnest Canty Sr., Estella Parker Canty, three brothers, Robert Canty, Anthony Canty, and Jeffrey Canty Sr.

Visitation will be Saturday May 1,2021 from 9:00am-10:30am at Charles Mackey Funeral Home located at 1576 Robin Street Baton Rouge LA  70807

Funeral services will be immediately following at 10:30 am.
