Our beloved mother Lucille Washington-Brady was born on August 23, 1949, in Innis, LA. She passed away at her residence on May 08, 2022, surrounded by family. Lucille leaves four children Patrice Cotton (Vernon), Sherlita Brady, Edward Brady Jr.(Jessica), and Ricky Brady. Lucille was known as "Momo" and had six grandchildren: Vernon Cotton Jr., Vivian Cotton, Vernisha Cotton, Edward "Pootie" Brady II, Leaigh Brady, and Calvin Brady. Lucille was the second oldest of seven children to the late Lorina Walker. Rose Marie Washington of Batchelor, LA, Oliver Washington (Marilyn) of Baton Rouge, LA, Johnny Lee Walker of Tallahassee, FL, Wanda Ward-Robinson (Frank) of Baton Rouge, LA, Stellar Ward-Jackson late (Ernest) of Baton Rouge, LA and Florence Walker-Windon (Erroll) of Prairieville, LA. Lucille was a 1968 graduate of Batchelor High School. Sis. Lucille was a faithful deaconess at New Birth Baptist Church. She was a giving and kind soul; the epitome of Proverbs 31:25-31. She will be forever missed by those who knew her best. She shared 33 years of marriage with the late Edward Alvin Brady Sr. Saturday, May 14, 2022. Visitation: 9:00-11:00 am, Funeral 11:00 am, at New St. Luke Baptist Church in Baker, LA. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Professional Services entrusted to Charles Mackey Funeral Home.
