Lillie Mae
Stewart
Jun 26, 1957 — Jan 17, 2026
Lillie Delores Stewart, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, transitioned January 17, 2026 at the age of 68.
Born on June 26, 1957, she was a cherished daughter of Annie Mae Lewis and Eugene Davis Lewis. She lived a life rooted in love, strength, grace and faith, always placing her family at the center of her heart. She trusted God in all seasons, walked humbly in his purpose with compassion, resilience and a deep belief that God was always near. Through every trial and triumph, she remained anchored in faith, reminding us that God's promises never fail and teaching us by example what it meant to lean on faith when answers were unseen. Her life was a living testimony of perseverance, compassion, and unconditional love.
A woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith, she lived her life as a reflection of God's love. She was a teacher and a prayer warrior whose presence brought comfort, wisdom, and light to all who knew her.
She was a nurturer by nature—a mother whose love knew no limits, whose prayers covered her children, and whose wisdom flowed through gentle words and firm guidance. Her laughter warmed rooms, her presence brought peace, her words carried truth, her prayers carried power and her love created a home wherever she stood.
She had a generous spirit and found joy attending Counseling on Aging weekly with new found friends, attending church, and service to others. To know her was to feel seen, supported, and loved. She gave selflessly, forgave freely, and believed deeply in the power of kindness. Her life was a testimony that love is the greatest gift we can offer one another. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Davis Lewis, mother Annie Mae Lewis, brother Claude Edward Lewis, Sr, Henry Lee Lewis and sister Betty Jean Wells.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her children Jessica Stewart, Carletha Stewart-Dunn (Clovis Dunn, Jr), Deidra Stewart and grandchildren Tayari Harris Jr, Ajah Smith, JaTyia Harris, Ta'voris Harris, Camren Stewart, DeMarion Wilson, Taliyah Davis and Kailey Haynes.
Though we mourn her physical absence, we rejoice in knowing she now rests in perfect peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and embraced by the arms of her Heavenly Father. As Scripture reminds us: "Well done, good and faithful servant." She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measures.
