Lawrence entered this life on March 30, 1941 in New Orleans, La to his dear parents, Lovie Hayes Barrow and Lawrence Sutton Sr.  A resident of Baton Rouge, Lawrence gained his heavenly wings on July 26, 2021. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. He retired as a Fire Watchman from Shell

Chemical Plant in Geismar, La. He came to know the Lord at an early age and was united in Holy matrimony to the late Rosetta Sutton.

Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Lawrence (Rolanda) Sutton III, two daughters, Joyce and Angel Sutton, two sisters, Gloria Minor (Antney) and Alice Sanford (Leo), one brother, Melvin Ray Barrow, two grandchildren, Lester Sutton and Lakeisha Sutton, three great grandsons, Micah Ridgley, Milan Ridgley, and Jireh Sutton, one great great grand daughter Maisie Ridgley, two brother in laws, John Brown and James Sparks Sr. (Wanda), also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Sutton, his mother, Lovie Hayes Barrow, father, Lawrence Sutton Sr., grandson, Aden Sutton, brother, Larry Barrow, three sisters, Mildred Turner, Juanita Vinning and Gladys Veal,  nephew, David Lee Flowers, and his God brother, Roy A. Guidry.

Visitation will be held at GFL Church of God in Christ 8930 Plank Rd. Baton Rouge, La 70811 on

Saturday August 7, 2021 from 9am until the Homegoing Celebration at 10am.

Internment is to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park 4045 North Street Baton Rouge, La 70806.
