Joseph Turner was born on November 22, 1984 in Baton Rouge Louisiana to Gwendolyn Turner Smith. Growing up, he was a member of Temple of God Full Gospel church. He was baptized at the young age of 8, where he later became a deacon. Joseph attended Park Elementary, Westdale Middle, and Capitol High school. Joseph proceeded his education at Diesel Drivinging Academy. Joseph also did maintenance work and had a passion for car restoration. Joseph was a San Francisco 49ers fan, he kept up with all the 49ers merchandise. Joseph was always low tempered, private and easy to get along with, everyone loved him. Joseph was diagnosed with CIDP (Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy) in 2020. Joseph slowly began to decline. He was unable to independently do some activities of daily living. He loss the ability to walk and speak . But he always made his needs known through a head gesture or text message. Joseph loved RnB music, he was a big fan of Boys 2 Men. Joseph departed this life on April 9,2024 at Our Lady Of the Lake Livingston. Preceding in death by his grandparents: Lazarus and Virginia Turner. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory; mother Gwendolyn Turner Smith, 1 daughter Ja'Rayla Turner, 2 sisters Nigel Smith and Tamar Smith, 3 brothers, Roderick Turner, Quincy Turner, and Joshua Smith, 2 nieces Ja'Kayln Turner and Mariah Turner, 7 nephews; Quincy Turner Jr., Ja'Marln Johnson, Joshua Manigin Jr., Kayden Turner, Logan Ventress, Collin Ventress, and Canden Turner. Joseph has extended family from St. Francisville Louisiana, California, and Mexico.
