Joan London was born on July 18, 1944 in Port Allen, LA to Henry Louise Boyd and Henry Lewis Jr. Joan was strong in her faith and accepted Christ at a early age. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Joan loved to cook, that's how she expressed her love to everyone who came into her home. She was well loved by many and was affectionately known as Momma Jo. She was peacefully called to her heavenly home on November 4, 2025.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters; Hazel Thomas and Emma Thomas and her brother Charles Lewis, 6 children Berlin James London, Keith (Sheila) London, Stephanie (Chester) Holland, Nietra London, Surkiara Muse (Cedric), and Ritta Lewis, her pride and joy 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Joan London was proceeded in death by her parents Louise Boyd and Henry Lewis Jr., husband James London, son Patrick London, brother Henry Lewis III; sisters Louise West and Debroah Rideau.
