A retired Walmart and E.B.R.P school board employee, Janie M. Hawkins passed away on August 12, 2021. She was born August 15, 1955 and a 1973 graduate of Scotlandvile High School. Visitation from 8:00-9:00 AM on Thursday August 19, 2021 until religious services, Jordan Stone B.C., 8523 Thelma St., Baton Rouge, La., Rev. Raymond Plain, officiating. Survived by her parents: Mr. & Mrs. J.B. and Cebell Jackson, two daughters: Andrea Rowley (Antwine) and Kathryn Hawkins, two sons; John Hawkins, Jr. (Linda) and Kelvin Leonard Hawkins (Alexis); sister, Jo Ann Dixon, brother, James Jackson (Dorothy) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hawkins, Sr., an infant brother, Kenneth Jackson, maternal and paternal grandparents.
