Brother James Albert Jackson was born on November 17, 1935, to the union of Andrew and Eliza Jackson in Woodville, Mississippi.

Brother James departed this life on September 7, 2022, at his home in Baker, Louisiana.

Brother James leaves to cherish his memory significant other Celestine Jones, three sons, Demetrich (Treshell) Jones of Addis, LA, Derek (Dedra) Jones of Baker, LA and Jimmy James of Baton Rouge, LA, three daughters, Lawanda Jones of Port Hudson, LA, Mechell (Cedric) McKneely and Lakenya Valentine of Baton Rouge, LA, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one sister, Sylvia Allen, two brothers, Charles (Mary) Jackson and Joe Walker; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives

Brother James was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents Andrew and Eliza Jackson, two sisters Bernice Abbott and Elizabeth Smith
