Iris (Pursley) Hawkins 55, Passed Away On February 25, 2024 In Baton Rouge Louisiana.

Iris Denise Pursley Hawkins was a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a cousin, a niece, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, and a friend to many and was loved by all of them. She was born to the union of Hilda B. Pursley and the late Izell Pursley Sr. on December 22, 1968, in Baton Rouge, LA. Iris graduated from Capital High School. Iris enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards, dancing, enjoying family and social gatherings, and sports.  She was a devoted Cowboys fan. Iris led a fun filled life. She had a gentle spirit and a heart full of love that touched everyone she encountered. Her laughter was infectious, and her smile could brighten even the darkest days.

Iris Denise Pursley Hawkins leaves to cherish her life and legacy, her husband, two children, three grandchildren, her mother; four brothers, six sisters, two godchildren, six uncles, five aunts, and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
