Ida Mae Moore was born on January 3, 1941 in Franklin, LA to the late Felmon and Emma Buckley. On Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 82 years old, she transitioned from labor to reward.
She was married to the late Oscar Moore Sr. and leaves to cherish her memories: her twin sister, Pastor Annie Mae Chinn of Baton Rouge, LA; 4 daughters: Alice (Robert) Ray of Gloster, MS; Bessie (Isiah) Davis of Baton Rouge, LA; Diane (Troy) Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA; and Patricia Robinson of Sacramento, CA; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felmon and Emma Buckley; her husband, Oscar Moore Sr.; 2 sons, Oscar Moore Jr and Michael Moore; 2 daughters, Deborah Porter and Dorothy Moore; a cousin Leroy Chapman; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration in memory of Ida will be held at New Hope Baptist Church located at 3254 Kahnville, Rd, Gloster, MS 39638 on Saturday, April 29, 2023 @ 12:00PM. Visitation will be at 5:00PM – 7:00PM on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the House of Prayer Ministries located at 5211 Ford Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70811 and also at New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 11:00AM-12:00PM.
