Gloria Franklin Nettles began her earthy journey on June 22, 1934 to the parents of the late Leola and Willie Franklin and departed her earthy journey August 19,2026. On March 29, 1959, she was united in Holy matrimony to the late Charles P. Nettles. Together they raised two children, Malcolm Glasper and Karla Allen. She was a faithful member and mother of First Alpine Baptist Church.

Gloria was a proud graduate of Southern University Laboratory School.

She continued her education by attending college and later began a rewarding career in education. Throughout her career, Gloria faithfully served as both a teacher and librarian, dedicating many years to educating, encouraging, and supporting countless students. After several years of devoted service in the field of education, Gloria retired, leaving behind a lasting legacy of knowledge, compassion, and commitment to those she served.

Gloria Leaves to cherish her memories one son Malcolm Glasper, one daughter, Karla Allen(Keteria); three granddaughters, Lougina Glasper, Ahttiana Tolbert(Nick), and Kaitralyn Montgomery(Roosevelt); eight great-grandchildren, Hayden, Tryshton, and Chrystian Tolbert, Ka'Mayria and Ka'Mayrion Glasper, Hilliari Horton, and Kelvin Ellis Jr., Zyir McQuirter ;one great great granddaughter Ka'mani Samuel; two brother, Francis Franklin, and Everette Franklin; two sister, Betty Munson, Jacqueline Franklin; two brother-in-laws Alex Davis(Monica), and Bobby Davis(Jannett), nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, one brother and sister.
