Mr. Floyd Joseph Henderson was born on April 8, 1962 to the late Mr. Lloyd Joseph Henderson, Sr. and Dr. Ruby Cormier of New Orleans, Louisiana.  On Tuesday, June 8, 2021 @ 3:53 p.m. God called him to his Heavenly Home. Their family started in Louisiana, however later migrated to Los Angeles, California, as time progressed the family moved to Inglewood, California   were Floyd spent the rest of his adolescence years.  He completed ninth and tenth grade at Moringside High School and for his junior year he transferred to Gardena High School.  Floyd then moved back to Louisiana and finished his Senior Year at Southern Lab in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  After high school he attended The University of Nevada in Las Vegas Nevada where he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity and majored in Hotel Management and the legacy begins.  Those who knew Floyd knew him to be extremely charismatic, hardworking, highly astute, innovative and a debonair.  A visionary with entrepreneur aspiration, Floyd leaned into his creativity and with a unique approach to event planning and design Exquisite Impression was born.

Floyd Henderson at 21 years old felt the only way to learn the ins and outs of the hospitality industry was to start at the bottom and work his way to the top... and that's what he did.  After successfully landing his first job as a bus boy at a prominent Las Vegas Hotel, Floyd began a long arduous trek of on-the-job training.  However his stint as a bus boy didn't last long and in just a short period of time he found himself in the mailroom before venturing on into personnel, catering, casino marketing and finally banquets.  It was in each of those departments that he gained his wide range of knowledge and expertise.

After much contemplation, Floyd wisely chose to continue working in the hospitality industry, though not in management.  Instead, he envisioned starting his own business as a special events planner.  He immediately switched his major to business management and began the process of making his dream a reality.  The question was, however, where to begin?  Using his college fraternity as a test market, Floyd found the answer by coordinating all of the organization's events while serving as president.  Fortunately, this trial period summed up what was ultimately his vision all along…he could do the same thing owning his own business, but not without one very essential element; he would have to sacrifice his personal life in order to make the business a success.

Exquisite Impressions, Inc. was started in 1987 with $150.00, a dream and a lot of determination.  Floyd began by coordinating and promoting high school and college parties, and after the name Exquisite Impressions began to circulate, he graduated to celebrity post-fight and concert parties.  The growth was rewarding, but somehow it just wasn't enough, and he began to question whether promoting parties was what he truly want to do.

Fortunately another opportunity presented itself when Floyd was called upon to coordinate and launch the huge "Just Say No To Drugs" campaign at UNLV, a series of events reaching thousands of Las Vegas" elementary, middle and high school students.  It was at that moment, Floyd knew that even planning was undoubtedly his future.  From there, he began researching and planning a strategy for Exquisite Impressions to become successful in the Las Vegas market.  While continuing his education at UNLV and coordinating events for non- profit organizations, Floyd decided to add a new service  to his business each year, not only to keep up with the continuous growth in Southern Nevada, but also to stay one step ahead of his competitors.  After carefully considering the type of service he could offer his clients, and keep everything in-house, Floyd began the process of adding the likes of Promotional Events, Special Event Coordinating, Decorating and Catering.

With a burning desire to remain ahead of the game, Floyd continued adding more services to his lengthy list, such as Destination Management, Event Entertainment, Tradeshow Design & Installation, and finally Party and Prop Rentals for all occasions.  This completed Floyd's self-assigned task of becoming Las Vegas' first and only full-service in-house special event planning company specializing in a turn-key operation catering not only to tradeshows, non-profit organizations and hotels, but also to conventions, corporations and a list of celebrities.  Now, with a number of major local and national businesses and organizations as his clientele list, Exquisite Impressions is looked upon as one of Las Vegas' premier event planning companies.

With the enormous growth of Exquisite Impressions and a theme prop and party rental inventory second-to-none, most have become accustomed to Floyd Henderson and his company producing spectacular events for both the public and private sectors.  That's why the question is frequently asked, "Floyd, what's next?"  His reply is simply; haven't you heard the old saying, "Good things come to those who wait!" So, look for more exciting news from Exquisite Impressions and Floyd Henderson in the near future, especially with the business expanding into the Atlanta market with his new event planning and design studio office.

In January 01, 2017, Floyd decided to expand Exquisite Impression, Inc. to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in which he added his favorite cousin, Dr. Chester Joseph Cormier, II to his company as Vice President of Exquisite Impression, Inc.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his only sister, Ms. Tina Henderson of Los Angeles, Ca.; two brothers; Mr. Lloyd Henderson, Jr. and Mr. Avery Bryant both of Las Vegas, Nevada.; three nieces; Porsche Tell, Vanity Alexander, and Kylee Bryant; three nephews; Lloyd Henderson III, Roman Bryant and Avery Bryant, Jr; one great nephew: Little Shaun Fuller, Jr.; his step mother: Ms. Eula Henderson of Baton Rouge, La.;  his fraternity brothers; Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; five uncle: Mr. Clifton Henderson of Baton Rouge, La.
