Debra Harrison Stevenson graced the world with her presence on January 17, 1961.  She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Arthur Harrison and Dolores Harrison.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal saviour at an early age and was baptized at the Greater New Galilee Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. C. N. Burrell.

Debra was educated in East Baton Rouge Parish. She was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1979.  Though faced with the many challenges that life may bring, she was determined to make the best of life and relocated to Houston, Texas where she worked for the Harris County Hospital District for 14 years.  As her health became more of a challenge, Debra returned home to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and returned her membership to Greater New Galilee Baptist Church where she sang in the special chorus under the leadership of Dr. Mark A. Litt, Sr.

On Thursday, May 27, 2021, in the early morning hour, God, in his infinite wisdom and glory, called Debra H. Stevenson from her labor to be rewarded.  She leaves to cherish her memories, Her loving mother, Dolores Harrison; One Daughter, Telicia Wiley; One son, Tedric R. Wiley; two brothers: Rodney Harrison and Nathaniel Harrison; one god-sister, Neikya Morris; One great-aunt, Bessie Brooks (Pontiac,MI)  Two aunts, Zeenovia Brown and Rosa Browden, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal and Paternal grandparents: Her father, Arthur Harrison, and one brother, Michael Harrison.

A Public Visitation and Funeral Services are scheduled, Saturday June 5, 2021 at Greater New Galilee B.C. Visitation is from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
