Danny Leroy Tate was born to the late Willie Tate, Sr. & Alma H. Harris on August 21, 1952. Danny passed away at Riveroaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on April 19, 2022. He attended Scotlandville High. Danny started his career as a Brick mason then went on driving trucks, later he took on a position at Ronaldson Field Landfill where he worked for many years. Danny then decided to become a private landscaper which he loved dearly. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Allen G. Causey, 2 grandchildren, Aja Causey & Crandall Christoff; 3 great grandchildren, Legacy Causey, Zion Christoff & Kyree Duncan; 2 brothers, Willie Tate, Jr. & Gary McGhee, all of Baton Rouge, LA; 3 sisters, Rose Etta (Russell Skelton, Sr.), Debra Burden & Sheila Burden all of Baton Rouge, LA; 1 sister-in-law Diane Tate of Baton Rouge,LA; 1 uncle, Clarence Tate of Clinton, LA; 1 aunt Leaster Keller of Clinton, LA; a family friend, Mary Ann Timmons of Woodbine GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Tate, Sr.; his mother, Alma H. Harris; maternal grandparents, Henry and Lula Hives; paternal grandparents; 1 great grandson, Crandall Christoff, Jr.; 4 brothers, Major, George, William & Ronald Tate; 3 sisters, Louise Bowman, Carolyn McGee & Helen Tate. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 11am until the funeral service begins at 12 pm at Saintsville C.O.G.I.C. 8930 Plank Rd. Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70811. Interment will be in Southern Memorial Gardens.
