Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our beloved Charles Curtis Sr was born September 13, 1945, in Baton Rouge, La to the late Mary Langley and Dave Curtis. He transitioned from earth to his heavenly home on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.

Charles was a retired business owner. He was the owner/operator of Curtis Trucking, and he owned an auto repair shop. He also owned numerous bar and lounge establishments over the years. Charles was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Joe Carter. He became and remained a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church for the remainder of his days.

Charles married Alma Cook. Three children were born of this marriage.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his sons, Antoine Curtis (Shalon), Otis Bradley, and Kentrelle Winns; his daughter, Penny Curtis (Gregory Farrar); four grandchildren, Loretha Asberry (Jamal), Kendrick Curtis, Daniel Green, and Alexis Thomas; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, Leroy Langley (Neborah), William Curtis, Robert Curtis, Erskin Curtis, Alfred Hunt, Kwaku Kushandans,and Larry Johnson; 6 sisters, Julia Jones, Brenda Jones, Grindle Johnson, Lillie Brock Perkins, Mae McGuffery, and Precious De Vance, 1 bother-in-law, Terry Cook (Linda); 1 sister-in-law, Alice Cook; two uncles, Noah Lang Sr. (Laura) and Orange Lang Sr. (Dolores) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Charles Curtis Jr.
