A Time to be Born: Carrie Mae Ferguson was born on October 11, 1960, to the union of Willie and the late Sarah Kelly Ferguson in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A Time to Praise: Carrie was baptized by the late Rev. George R. Clark, Senior at Saint John Baptist Church. Until the time of the pandemic, she faithfully and consistently served under the present pastoral care of Dr. Donald R. Ruth, serving as a Deaconess until her health began to fail, attending Cross Walk (Sunday School), Vacation Bible School and was a member of the Sisterhood Ministry. She enjoyed fellowshipping with other believers. Carrie was a blessing to all who knew her. A Time to Love: Carrie was full of love and laughter. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She loved people and was always looking for ways to feed the multitude. While at Magnolia Estates, she was trying to plan a reunion for her family and new found friends. A Time to Learn: Carrie was a 1984 graduate of Baker High School. She also attended Delta Business College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A Time to Serve: Carrie was employed by Volunteers of America for 25 years as a certified nursing assistant for the disable. She was a dedicated member of Alsen AARP Chapter#5165 who freely gave of her services to anyone she encountered. A Time to Weep: Carrie was proceeded in death by her mother, Sarah Kelly Ferguson; her paternal grandparents, James and Carrie Ferguson; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Fannie Kelly and her uncle, Andrew Ferguson. A Time to Die: Carrie Mae Ferguson answered the Master's call to her forever home in glory on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 7:05 a.m. while a resident of Magnolia Estates in Lafayette, Louisiana.
