Audrey Mae Breckenridge was born on January 9, 1945 to the late Mr. McKinley Breckenridge, Sr. and the late Mrs. Velma Sims Breckenridge. She departed this life on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Audrey was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend Morris Jackson, Jr. at Little Zion Baptist Church of Baton Rouge where she was a former faithful member of the choir. She was a graduate of Scotlandville High School and was employed with The Arc Baton Rouge as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Audrey was married to the late Levy Johnson, Sr. on February 15, 2002.
She was a fun loving quiet-spirited mother, grandmother and great -grandmother who loved the Lord and her family. She loved traveling, dancing, having fun and cooking her worlds famous pecan candy. Audrey leaves to cherish her sister Hazel Brown Cage, three children, Robert Griffin, Tyrone Griffin (Iris Morgan) and Lekisha Fisher, all of Baton Rouge. Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She had three special friends, Faye Benton, Shelia Dotson and Evelyn Johnson.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents McKinley, Sr. and Velma, five brothers, Louis, McKinley, Jr., Randolph, Melvin, Kelles Lee, and one sister, Albertha, all last name Breckenridge
and her late husband, Levy Johnson, Sr.
